Tucked beneath a thick oak and pine canopy, the City of North Port is home to more than just the 62,000 residents who live here. North Port boasts a robust wildlife population with bobcats, raccoons, squirrels, deer, and more. Birds and bird watching are a family favorite activity in this up-and-coming community.
There are plenty of spots to watch birds, including all of North Port's parks and open spaces. The Myakka State Forest also offers plenty of opportunity to see birds in their natural habitat.
