Just a little over two miles from U.S. 41 and Sumter Road in North Port is the newly renovated home of the 2008 National ChampionTampa Bay Rays Spring Training Camp (visit tampabay.rays.mlb.com) and the Charlotte Stone Crabs (visit http://charlotte.stonecrabs.milb) The newly renovated Charlotte Sports Park has a capacity of 6,823 and features a 19,000 square foot boardwalk, which became the signature feature of the Rays' spring digs. A great place for the baseball enthusiast and family to enjoy a ballgame.
