NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF BID SPECIFICATIONS

 

RFB NO. 2017-22 WWTP SLUDGE STORAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

The City of North Port is requesting sealed bids to secure the services of an experienced, professional, licensed, and qualified Contractor capable of providing construction services in accordance with the specifications and drawings for the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) sludge storage system improvements project. The improvements include, but not limited to, converting an old plant tank to sludge storage; modifying existing sludge storage tanks; installing new fine bubble aeration systems in all existing and new sludge storage tanks; replacing three existing blowers with new including piping and fittings as required; removing aluminum cover from existing plant tank; installing new walkway bridge within converted sludge storage tank; interior and exterior air, water, and sludge piping work; and, electrical work including replacement of an existing motor control center (MCC).

 

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE VISIT: A Mandatory pre-bid conference AND site visit will be conducted to answer questions regarding the bid requirements. Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the specifications and scope of work requirements in this solicitation, attendance at mandatory pre-bid conferences AND site visit is a prerequisite for submitting a bid. Bids will only be accepted from those who are represented at the pre-bid conference and site visit. Attendance at the pre-bid conference AND at the site visit will be evidenced by the representative's signature on the attendance sign-in sheet. Bidders must attend one (1) of the two (2) meetings below.
